H e was b orn in Sweden Nov. 3, 1850, an1l died July 2, 1935, at
the ripe age of 85 yea rs. He is mo urned by his beloved wire, two so ns,
Hev. Nat han Ackcrn tnn of Portland, Oregon, and Hev. Edga1· Acke•·man
of Evans ton, Jll., and one d aughter, Mrs. J ess ie Egglesto n of l\Inrinc ll e, Wis.
The funeral se •·vice was held a t the Swedish Methodis t Church in
Marinette, Wi s., conduc ted by the District Superint ende nt, F red Stromberg, assisted by Rev. 0 . W. Carlso n.
He joined th e Nort h wes t Swedis h Co nfere nce on p•·obation in
1892, served in several places, was a n enth usias ti c and consecra ted
worker, a nxiously seeking to b•·ing the los t to Ch ris t. In 1!124 he
superannu a ted and made hi s hom!! in ~l a •· in ette, where for several
year s he was engaged in business .
. T h e large a ttendance at the funera l service and the tribute of
flowers a lles t the es teem in w hich he was he ld, the m emo ry of h is
life a wholesome witness of his fait h.
