FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PLEASE :
The Reverend David D. Amstutz was elected to Elder 's Orders and received as a
Full Member of the United Methodist Omrch on Wednesday afternoon, Jtme 6, as the
138th Consecutive Annual Session of the Conference began in Dalvson Auditorium on
the campus of Adrian College .
On Friday evening, Jtme 8 , he was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist
Church by Bishop Le roy C. Hodapp, Res ident Bishop of the Illinois Area , presidin g
for Bishop Edse l A. Ammons.
The son of Rev. and Mrs. Paul Amstutz of Millington, Michigan , Rev. Amstutz
was graduated from New Lathrup High School in New Lathrup, Michigan.
He received
a B. A. Degree from Asbury Theologica l Semin ary in Wilmore, Kentucky in 1978.
Elder ' s Orders and Reception into Full

in an Annual Conference are
the final s t eps into the Ministry of the United Methodist Church .
Rev. Amstutz serves as the Dean of the Annual Conference's Bike Hikes .
Rev. Amstutz has been assigned to Riley Center, Berville and West Berlin
United Methodist Churches by Bishop Ammons for the corning year.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Reverend David D. Amstut z was elected to Deacon ' s Orders and received as a
Probationary member of the Detroi t Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church
on Wednesday afternoon , June 2nd, as the 135th consecutive session of the Conference began in Dawson Auditorium on the campus of Adrian College , Adrian ,
Michigan .
On Wedn esday evening , he was ordained a Deacon in the United Methodist Church by
Bishop Dwight E . Loder , Resident Bishop of the Michigan Area of the United Methodist
Church .
Son of The Reverend and Mrs. Paul Amstutz of Owendale, Michigan, The Reverend Mr .
Amstutz was graduated from New Lothrop High School in New Lothrop, Michigan .
He received a B . A. degree i n Humanit.ies from John Wesley College in Owosso in
1974 and is presently enrolled as a student at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wil more , Kentucky .
Recommended for a License to Preach by the Charge Conference of the United
Methodist Church in Owendale, Michigan , The Feverend
Mr . Amstutz is pursuing the
course of study required f or full membership in the Annual Conference .
