After serving two years at the Napoleon
United Methorust Church, Rev. and Mrs.
Francis Anderson have returned to the West
Indies and are working with the Methodist
Church in the Caribbean and the Americas.
They had previously served in Trinidad and
in Belize and are under the World Division of
the Board of Global Ministries of the United
Methodist Church. The terms and conditions
of their stay have been jointly worked out
between the World Division and the Caribbean Church Conference.
In preparation for their missionary work,
they attended together the Missionary Conference in June that was held in Fairfield,
Connecticut. Win attended ten days of
special orientation after that in Stony Point,
New York. Frank meanwhile was taking part
in the Mid West Regional Mission School in
Iowa where he received training for teaching
the course in Latin America at the Detroit
Conference Schools of Christian Mission in
Adrian. He also taught during the Drive-in
Day in the West Michigan Conference
School of Mission.
The Andersons are now located in
Savanna-la-Mar, the capital town of the
Parish of Westmoreland in Jamaica, the
West Indies. He is the superintendent
minister of the Savanna-la-Mar Circuit of six
churches. Prior to the past summer, they had
given over 55 missionary interpretation
programs on Caribbean Methodism, includ-
