IMMEDIATE RELEASE, Please
Rev. Ka rl Leonard Zeigler, minister of Shepardsville and
Price churches in St •. John and Ovid, Michigan, was elected a
Full Member and received into the Detroit Annual Conference of
the United Methodist church at the l29th consecutive annual session
of the Conference held in Dawson Auditorium on the Adrian College
campus in Adrian, Michigan, June 11-15.
He was ordained an Elder in the United Me thodist church by
Bishop Dwi ght E. Loder on Thursday evening .
Rev. Zeigler graduated from Lincoln Park high school, received a B.A. degree from Michigan State University and M.Div.
degree from Methodist Theological Scho0l in Delaware, Ohio, and
has been doing intern work in reha bilita tion couns eling at Michigan State University.
Mrs. Zeigler is the former Ruth Ann Tennant, daughter of
Rev. and Mrs. Wilson Tennant of E. Lansing , Michigan.
Zei gl er is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl
Park,Michigan.

Karl and his wife have traveled in England and Scotland. He has
worked as a substitute teacher and has done intern counseling at
Ingham Couty Jail in Mason, Mich.
He and his wife (who has also
taught and worked as a social worker and is completing her M.A.
at M.s.u. in Secondary IDiuc. this August) are very interested in
working with youth. Karl has served several stud]nt appointments
and looks forward to working as full-time associate
