MRS. MABEL OLIVER, 77, of Memphis
died December 14 in Almont Communi~y
Hospital. She was born Oct.:Jber 30, 1895, m
Riley Center and married Rev. Clayton F .
Oliver August 10, 1922, in M-emphis . .Mr.
Oliver died March 1, 1960. She h ad liVed
in Memphis since 1957. Survivors include
a sister, Mrs. Hilda Deaner of Riley Center; a grandson, Douglas K . Fisher of
Livonia; and a granddaught-er , Miss Lou
Elizabeth Fisher of Detroit. The fun eral
was held December 16 at the Memphis
First Church with Rev. Duane E. Miller
and formet: pastor, Rev. Max Weeks, officiating.

EV. Clayton F. Oliver , 67, died in
h is sleep at Almont Communit y
Hospital, after a short illn ess. He was
born October 27, 1892, in Wales Townsh ip, St. Cla ir County, t he son of W illi am F . and E lla A. Oliver. He was
united in ma rri age to Mabel Stephenson,
Aug ust 10, 1922, in Mem phis.
Mr. Oliver attended Adrian College,
Eastern Michigan College at Y ps ila nli ,
and Westm ins ter 'l'heological Semina t·y,
Balti more, Md. He ta ug ht for three
years in St. Cla it· County and was
ordained a minis ter in the Methodist
Protestant Church in 1922. He s erved
pastorates in Attica, Dryden, Saginaw1
