Mrs. Caroline Louise Eddy
RS. Ca r olin e Louise Eddy, 77, wife
of Rev. Alfred Eddy, died a t her
home in Oxfor d, Jul y 22, after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Eddy was hom in Cornwall, England, J a nuary 16, 1882, the daughter of
the late John and Sarah Bennett. She
and her husband were married in England on March 29, 1913, and moved to
the United States in 1916. Rev. a nd
Mrs. Eddy served the churches of Applegate, Dansville, Webberville, Blissfield,
Belleville, Fourteenth Avenue, Yale and
Oxford.
Mrs. Eddy leaves her husband; one
daughter, Mrs. Don A. Smith of Ferndale; and two grandsons, Dennis and
Don. There are also six sisters and
one brother who Teside in England.
Mrs. Eddy's great interests were
those of the church, her family and
home and flowers. When ner health permitted she was an active participant in
all departments of the church.
Funeral services were held July 24
at the Bossardet-Reid Funeral Home
with Rev. A. P. Rickard, a close family
friend, officiating. Also participating
in the service were Rev. Arthur E.
Smith, superintendent of the Port
M
AUGUST 20, 1959
Huron District, and Rev. Fred Clark
of Oxford Methodist Church. Burial
was in the Michigan Memorial Park at
Flat Rock.
