REV. CLI NTON EDGERTON, retired
member of the Detroit Conference has
become a resident of the Bou l~vard
T emple Methodist Home in Detroit and is
in the nursing section. His address is
2567 W . Grand Blvd., Detroit, 48208.
Mrs. Edgerton is staying with her
daughter a t 8020 Holly Road, Grand
Blanc, until an apartment is available
for her at the Home. , . ·- ' - t '
REV. CLINTON EDGERTON, 71, r etired member of the Detroit Conference,
died March 10 in Flint following an extended illness. H e was born in 1896 in
Allenton, St. Clair County. He joined
the Methodist Protest ant Conference in
1923 and served churches at Bradley,
Flowerfield, Barryville, Wells and Mayville. After unification in 1939 he served churches at Turner, Hillman, Otisville, Linden, Bancroft, Flint ColumPinnebog , Forbine-Halsey-Dimond,
rester, and Peck fro m which he Tetired
in 1962. DuTing his ministry he served
six circuits of three ·c hurches each, and
one circuit of four churches, willingly
going wherever he was appointed. Upon
r etirement the Edgertons lived in Millington where he taught a senior adult
Sunday school class until hospitalized.
H e is s u•r vived by his wife , Gra'Ce; one
daughter, Mrs. Stanley Perry of Grand
Blanc; two g randchildren; two brothers, Clar ence of Rochester and Morton
of Oxford ; and one sis ter, Mrs. Arthur
E sckilsen of Cass City. Services were
held at the Millington Methodist Church,
March 12, with Rev. Rliohard Turner officiating, a ssisted •by Rev. Richard Lobb,
who was a youth in the Linden Church
at the time of Mr. Edgerton's pastorate. Rev. P aul Hart gave the Memorial
Tribute, and soloist was Mrs. Maurice
Chapin. Interment was i~ the Wpst
