morning that Rev. Fred W. Fall ,
former Pastor of the Evangelical
United. Brethre n Church of Owosso
and New Haven, passed away at
the Reed City Hospital at 5 this
morning, after several months illness.
Rev. Fall was born on a farm
near Traverse City, October 12,
1893, and was recommended to the
ministry by the Traverse City
Evangelical Congregation. He was
licensed by the Michigan Confe rence of the Evangelical Church in
1918, ordained a deacon in 1920,
and an elder in 1922. He held
pastorates at Coleman, Howell,
Portage Prairie, Pigeon, Owosso,
Petoskey, Pontiac , and was stationed at Reed City at' the time of
his death.
When located at Owosso Rev.
Fall was pastor of both the New
Haven and Owosso Churches fro m
1931 to 1939>. Under his ministry
both churches gr ew considerably
and several young people entered
full time Christen service under
his leadership.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Miss Alice Blackhurst, and
nine children: Rev. Meredith Fall
of Howell; Rev. Albert Fall, Erie;
Rev. Arthur Fall, Traverse City;
Carson of Ponti ac; Mrs . Ruth
Susan, West Allis, Wisconsin ;
P au I in e of Jackson; Ruby of
Traverse City; and Beatrice and
Dale at home.
Funeral Services will be held
Thursday at the R-eed City Evangelical United Brethren Church at
10:30 A. M. and at Traverse City
at 3 P. M. and burial will be at
, raverse City.
