Bishop Dwight E. Loder, at the opening Ministerial
Exe cutive Session of the 127th Annual Detroit Conference
at Adrian College , Adrian , Michigan, announced the transfer of Rev. Bruce W. Fe l ker into the Detroit Conference
from the Northwe st Indi ana Conference.
Rev . Felker was recommended for License to Preach in
1958 by the Quarterl y Conference of Northville Methodist
Church, Northville, Michigan, and was received on Trial,
J une 1962, into the Detroit Conference the n was r e ceived
into Full Membership in May 1964 in the New Mexico Conference.
He then transferred into the North West Indi ana in
1965 and has now transferred into the Detroit Conference
in 1968 .
Rev . Fe l ker, s on of Mrs. Grace Fe l ker , Northville,
Michigan, was graduated from Northville Hi gh School , and
from University of Michigan , Ann Arbor , with a B. A. degree
in 1958.
He received a B. D. Degree in 1962 from Drew
Theological School, Madison, New Jers ey .

Mrs. Fe l ker is the fo rmer Mi ss Dorothy N.
Sequin, Texas.

The couple are parents of Ross Owen, 4
years, and Grey Bea1;1.champ, 2 years.
Rev. Felker has served wi th \'lesley Foundation, Texas
A & M University, Wesley Foundation Sul Ross State College,
Al pine, Texas Wesl ey Foundation, Purdue Universi ty, West
Purdue University, West Lafayette , Indiana.
He now serves
on the Conference Trafco program .
Rev. Fel ker has been assi gned to Jeffe rson Avenue
United Methodist Church, Detroit, Michi gan, by Bishop
Dwi ght E. Loder.
