-The Rev. Patric k England was e l ected to Deacon's Orders and r eceived as
a Proba tionary member of t he Detroit Annual Conference of the United
Methodist Church o n Tuesday evening, June 3, as the 139th c onsecutive
annaal sess ion began in Dawson Auditorium on the campus of Adrian
College, Adrian, 1-lichigan .
On Friday evening, June 6th, he was ordained a Deacon in the United
He thodist Churc h by Bishop Edsel A. Ammons, Res ident Bi shop of - the
Michigan Area United Mebhodist Church.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Engl and of Plymouth Rev.

from Plymouth-Sal em High School in P lymouth in 1 9 78.
was graduated
He received a
B. A. degree from Michigan Sbate University in East Lans ing in 1978
and is presently enrolled as a student at Met hodist Theoloaical Schoo l
in Delaware, Ohio.
Rev. England is pursuing the course of study
required for full membershi p in the Detroit Annua l Cmnference.
l1rs. England is the former Miss Lisa Rrey, daughter of Mr s. Otto
n rey and the late Mr. Brey of Canton, Hichiqan .
Bishop Ammons has appointed Rev . Bnqland to attend
