The Reverend Mrs . Bell received her educa tion at Nashville
High School, Nashville , Michigan.

She a ttended Wisconsin St at e Teachers

Co llege in Pl attville , Wiscons in , and had some seminary t raining at
North Centra l Schoo l of Religion in Indianapo l is , Indiana , and also
at Baptist Seminary in Chicago.
Before ent ering the ministry, Mrs . Be ll t aught school.
The Reverend Mr s . Bell has served the fo llowing churches in
Michigan :

Unionvi lle , Brown City, Paint Creek and the East and West

Goodl and Churches .
The Reverend Mrs . Bell will live a t 2170 Lake Shor e Road ,
Applegat e , Michigan.

REV. MRS. MABELLE BELL died unexpectedly June 23 at her honi'"e on Lakeshore Road, Applegate. Mrs. Bell served
Methodist churches in the Detroit Conference at Unionville, Brown City, Paint
Creek and retired from the Goodland
churches in 1964 after serving them seven
years. Her husband, Peter Bell, preceded her in death in 1959. He also was a
Methodist minister. Survivors include a
son, Lyman A. Elder, Southfield; a daughter, Mrs. Marion Highland, Fort Bragg,
Calif.; a stepson, Rev. Clarence Bell,
Clarkston; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Irene
Strietenberger, Bell Gardens, Calif.; one
sister, Mrs. William Morningstar, Largo,
F1a ; six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held
June 26 in the Pomeroy Funeral Home,
Croswell, with Rev. Wallace Zinnecker,
pastor of the Peck-Speaker United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in
Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw.
Six area United Methodist ministers served
as pall bearers.
