CHARLES. W. BOLLINGER

I was born in Decatur, Indiana, to Walter and Agnes Bollinger
on February 26, 1927. I was converted at the age of five at our home
church, The Church of God of Anderson, Indiana.
My childhood and youth were spent in Decatur where I attended the public schools; I served
in the United States Army and rose to the rank ofTech. Sgt. in two years. After being discharged
in 1946 I married Evelyn J. Bell of Columbia, Alabama, in 1947. I later attended Huntington
College, Huntington, Indiana; Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio; and graduated from Bluffton
College, Bluffton, Ohio, in 1959. From Bluffton I received a Bachelor of Science in Christian
Education. In 1962 I received the Master of Divinity from United Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
My wife Evelyn and have been greatly blessed with four sons and daughter, thirteen
grandchildren and one to be born this year.
I began my ministry as a student pastor in the West Ohio Conference. My pastorates in the Detroit
Conference were St. Clair Shores First, Standish-Saganing, Lincoln Community. Crosswell,
Fairgrove-Gilford and Kingston.
It was a real joy to have been chosen as a Trustee for our Conference.

I am indeed very grateful to the Conference for granting me disability leave and continued
to support us with concern and love.
Evelyn and I tremendously enjoyed our missionary work among the American Indian
children at South West Indian School in Peoria, AZ, as chaplain for nine months.
We are now living in Ruskin, FL, and attending the Ruskin United Methodist Church where
I am serving as minister of visitation at my leisure. Our address is 307 2nd, St. , N.W. Ruskin, FL
