FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
.The Reverand Frank M. Brannon Jr., a 1966 graduate of Drew
Theological Seminary of Madison, New Jersey with the Bachelor of
Divinity degree was elected to Full Membership in the Detroit annual
Conference of the Methodist Church at its 125th session held in Adrian
Michigan at Adrian College, June 1 5-18.
--
He was ordained an Elder of
the Methodist Church by Bishop Dwight E. Loder at the closing session
on Saturday afternoon.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Brannon, Sr. of Detroit, Mr. Brannon
was graduated from MacKenize High School in Detroit in 1953 and Waynw
State University with the B.A. degree in 1962.
He has served in the
United States Air Force and as a fire insurance inspector previous
to his entering the ministry.
He has also served as pastor of Alders-
gate Methodist Church in Pontiac, Michigan and the Methodist Church in
Hurleyville, New York.
Mrs. Brannon is the former Dorothy Parrish of Post Austin, Michigan.
They are the parents of two children, Carol 8, and John 4.
Mr. Brannon was appointed Associate Minister of Christ Methodist
Church in Detroit by Bishop Loder at the conference.
