of the i nfluence of my pastor of my home church,
Roya l Oak First, and my parents l'lho vvere both active

Rev. Venus gradua ted from high School in Berkley, Michisgn
in 1957.
In 1961 he received his B.A. degree from Adrian
College.
He received his Bachelor of Divinity degree from
Union Theological Seminary in New
York~ in
1964, w± a member
of the honorary group, Theata Alpha Phi.
Revv Venus is married to the former Catlyn Hastings of
Berkley, a nd they are the parents of two Childred, Anita
Lynn,
