Chun, Mrs. Song Vi K.,
Reese, Michigan.
Wife of Rev. Sang Yoon Chun
died suddenly Friday, September
20, 1991, at St. Mary's M_edical
Center as the result of an automobile accident. Age 35 years. She
was born May 27, 1956, in Seoul,
Korea. She graduated from S~
cred Heart Women's College 1n
Korea, she then graduated from
Wayne State Univ. with a Masters
Degree in 1988. The former Song
Yi Kim was married to the Rev.
Sang Yoon Chun, June 25, 1982.
He survives her. Song was employed by the Visiting Nurses Assoc. in Saginaw as a speech
pathologist for the past 1 1~2 _ye~rs
and shared the pastoral m1mstnes
with her husband at both the
Reese-Watrousville United Methodist Churches. Surviving besides
her husband are her parents, lck

Korea; two brothers, Woo Hong
Kim of Lowell, Mass. ; Joo Ho~g
Kim of-Won Joo,~Kor~two Sisters, Song (Sue) Yang of . Park

brothers-in-law; and her father-Inlaw and mother-in-law.
Funeral services will take place
at 11 :00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23,

Church on Sunday from 2:00 to
4 :00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9 :00 p.m .
and at the church on Monday from
10 :00 a. m. until time of services.

Chun is pastor of the Reese,
Watrousville charge. Mrs. Chun
was born May 27, 1956, in Seoul,

Troy, officiating . Memorials may
be made to the UMCs of Reese
and Watrousville.

Pastor Sang Yo on Chun was
h onored at a farewell reception
at the Elkton United Methodist Church June 23. John
Blair, ch airper son of trustee
board, presented Pastor Sang
with a sh ovel, symbolic of a
m ajor event in the life of the
Elkton church during Pastor
Sang's appointment: the comp letion of an elevator which
serves the san ctuary as well as
the basement level.
A p laque on the handle
states: To Pastor Sang, " Go to
the Great City ... proclaim the
message. Jonah 3:2 The Elkton
United Methodis t Church
1992-1996." A picture on the
spade is one of Sang emerging
from the excavation carrying
pails of rubble.
Sang was deeply appreciated for his commitment, his
love of all and his dedication to
ser ve Christ at all times. He,
his wife Jineh and daughter,
Grace, are living in McLean,
Va., where he is appointed to
the Korean American U n ited
Methodist Church of Greater
Washington, D.C.
