FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PLEASE:
June 11, 1983
The Rev. William Michael Clemmer was elected to Elder's Orders,
and received as a Full Member of the Detroit Annual Conference of the
United Methodist Church, on Tuesday, June 7, as the 142nd consecutive
annual session of the Conference began in Dawson Auditorium on the
campus of Adrian College , Adrian, Michigan .
On Saturday, June 11, he was ordained an Elder in the United
Methodist Church by Bishop Edsel A. Ammons, Resident Bishop of the
Michigan Area of the United Methodist Church.
Son of William Clemmer of Greenback, Tennessee and Wanda Jo
Salvidge , Pensicola, Florida, The Rev . Clemmer was graduated from
Osborne High School in Detroit; he received a B.A. degree from Wayne
State University, and a Master of Divinity degree from Earlham School of
Religion, Richmond, Indiana, in 1975; and a Ph . D. in Education from the
University of Michigan, 1982 . .
t1rs. Clemmer is the former Miss Susan Mary Hoar, daughter of
t1r. and Mrs. William Hoar of Calumet .
Rev . Clemmer has helped to lead three mission work trips to Haiti.
Rev. Clemmer has been reassigned to Deerfield/Petersburg United
Methodist Churches as Minister by Bishop Ammons for the coming year.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PLEASE :
The Rev . Wm. Michael Clemmer was elected to Deacon's
Orders, and received as a Probationary member of The Detroit
Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church on Tuesday
evening, June 2nd, as the 140th consecutive annual session
began in Dawson Auditorium on the campus of Adrian College,
Adrian, Micmigan.
On Friday evening, June 5th, he was ordained a Deacon in
the United Methodist Church by Bishop Edsel A. Ammons, Resident
Bishop of The Michigan Area of The United Methodist Church.
Son of Mr . William B. Clemmer of Greenback, Tennessee
and Mrs. Wanda J. Selvidge, Pensacola, Florida, the Rev.
Clemmer was graduated from Osborne High School in Detroit,
in 1968.
He received a B.A. degree from Wayne State University in
Detroit in 1972; and a Master of Divinity degree from Earlham
School of Religion, Richmond, Indiana , 1975; he also holds an
A.B. D. from University of Michigan .
Mrs. Clemmer, is the former Mis s Susan Mary Hoar ,
daughter of William and Martha Hoar of Calumet, Michigan.
Rev. Clemmer is currently serving the Deerfield and
Petersberg United Methddist Churches in Monroe County.
He has also served hhe Samaria and Lulu United Methodist
Churches in Monroe County, and Associate Minister at
