l\1 RS. MYRTLE MARIE COLEMAN,
65, wife of Rev. Harry W. Coleman of
Dundee, died D ecember 17, 1963, at
Saline Community Hospital. She had
been in failing health for 12 years. The
daughter of William and Edith R endle,
Mrs. Coleman was born in Britton
December 20, 1897. She graduated from
Britton high school in 1916, attended
Eastern Michigan University and taught
in the public schools of Lenawee and
Monroe counties for 31 years, retiring in
1947 because of her health. She married Mr. Coleman of t he London Methodist church, April 7, 1939, at the Rea
Methodist church. Besides he1· husband,
she is survived by a s tep-daughter, Mrs.
Wayne Collar of Milan; a step-son,
Harry W. Coleman, Jr., of Dundee; five
grandchildr en;
one g reat-grandchild;
and four sisters, Mrs. Martha Bra dy of
Whitmore Lake, Mrs. E. E. Myers of
Cleveland, Mrs. Bert Moore and Mrs.
Edward Kanous of Britton. Funeral
services were held at the Stevens and
Bush Funeral Home in Milan with Rev.
Edwin W. Stricker, district super intendent, officiating. Burial was in Oak
Gl'ove cemeter y at Dundee.

I had another life to give t.o the Ministry.
The Ministry has given me the' most rewarding years of my life
and I would advise young pe9ple today who want. to enrich their lives
to enter full-time Christian work.
Earn your money and than some, that and some , is what gives
the raise in salary.

HARRY W. COLEMAN, 8 1 ,
retrred from the Detroit Conference ,
died recently in Ann A rbor. He served
as pastor of the London, Oakville and
Mooreville United Methodist c hurches,
reti ring after 20 years at the London
church. He then served the Petersburg
Uni.ted Methodist Churc h for five years,
until 1973 . He was a member of the
Dundee Board of Education for 13 years
and served as president for nine years.
He was also a member of the Dundee
Optimists and the Petersburg Kiwanis.
He is survived by his wife, Isabelle ; a
son, Harry , Jr., of Dundee; a daughter,
Mrs . Wayne Collar (Ellen) of Milan, and
11 grandc hildren and six great-g randchildren . Servic es were held in the
Petersburg United Presbyterian Churc h,
with Revs. Florence Hedwe ll and James
Lumsden offic iati ng. Burial was in Oak
Grov e Cemetery, Dundee.
