Through
Jesus Christ, we
are joined
together in
ministry. I am
grateful for the
opportunities
that the Lord,
through the church, has given me to be in ministry
with others. I have enjoyed the fun and the work I
have shared with: Vince and Nancy Garbo Norm
and Marcia Richards, Sandy Bitner, Dave and
Carol Bosh, Marie Alexander, Wes Murdoch,
Charles Leipprandt, Art and Judy Stone, John
Potter, Stanley Bailey, Marge and Glen Simons,
Dale and Huberta Lewis, Red Miller, Nick
Scroggins, David Strobe, and the list goes on.
Moving has not been my favorite experience,
but many blessings have come with each move.
My ministry began as an intern at Tipp City
Methodist Church in Belleville, Ohio. After
Seminary we served in the East Ohio Conference,
serving: Mayfield Methodist Church, Brookpark
United Methodist Church, and Garfield Heights

United Methodist Church. After ou r move to
Michigan we served Bay Port and Hayes United
Methodist Churches. Mount Clemens First Un ited
Methodist Church, Hancock First United
Methodist Church, and Wayne First United
Methodist Church. Margot and I have enjoyed the
natural beauty of the farmland of the Thumb, the
Copper Country, and the many opportunities of
Metro Detroit and Greater Cleveland. In our
ministry we have traveled many miles and have
been enriched by the people we have joined in
ministry.
Out ministry is entering a new phase as I begin
my retirement. I am looking forward to as few
meetings as possible and none if I can get away
with it! Where would we United Methodists be
without our meetings? On the serious side, maybe
we would be surprised to see what God would do
through us. Thank you for the privilege of serving
Jesus Christ through the United Methodist Church.
I believe the United Methodist Church as an
exci ting future as it seeks God's direction for the
future.
