Rev. Ronald K. Corl, for the past year associate
minister of the First Methodist Church, Plymouth, Michigan , was elected to Elder; s Orders and Full M:embership
in the Detroit Annual Conference of the United Methodist
Church at the opening session of the l 27th Annual meeting
of the Conference being held this week on the campus of
Adrian Coll ege, Adrian, Mi chigan.
He will be ordai ned an
Elder in the Church by Bishop Dwight E. Loder at the Fri day
evening service to be hel d in Dawson Auditorium.
Rev. Corl was recommended ·for License to Preach in
1958 by the Quarterly Conference of Scofiel d Methodist
Church on the Flint Charge.
Rev. Corl, son of Mr . and Mrs. Ki nsey E. Corl, Dunbar
Road, Monroe, Michigan, was graduated from Ida Public High
School, Ida, Michigan in 1952 ; he received a B. S. degree
from Eastern Michigan University , Ypsilanti, Mi chigan in
1963 , and from Methodist Theological School, Delaware , Ohio,
an M. Div . Degree in 1968.

He previously served the Rea, Cone, and Azalia Charge for

years, the Macon Methodist Church, Macon, Michigan,

years, and associate minister for l year, First Methodist
Church, Plymouth, Michigan .
Mrs. Corl is the former Miss Sharon Poe, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Poe , 47 Chestnut St., Monroe, Michigan.
The Corl's are the parents of Victoria, 12, Richard, 9 ,
and Bethany, 6.
Rev. Corl will continue to serve the First Methodist
Church in Plymouth.
