FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PLEASE:
The Reverend C. Frank Davenport will be coming to be pastor of Dix United
~--------------------------
Methodist Church having been appointed by Bishop Edsel A. Ammons at the Detroit
Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church meeting at Adrian College during
the past week.
Reverend Davenport comes to Lincoln Park from the Stephens United Methodist
Church in Dearborn Heights where he has been pastor for the past nine years.
Prior to that appointment he has served churches in Tennessee

as well as

in
Detroit, Oscoda, Midland and Ferndale. Mr. Davenport has served as a
missionary in El Paso at Lydia Patterson Institute, a Methodist school for Spanishspeaking young people.
The Davenports have four children; two living in Ypsilanti 1 one in Lansing and
one at home. Mrs. Davenport is a home economics teacher.
