Dinner was elected to Deacon's Orders,
and received as a Probationary member of The Detroit Annual
Conference of The Unibed Methodist Church
on Wednesday afternoon,
June 7, as the 137th consecutive annual session began in Dawson
•
Auditorium on the campus of Adrian College, Adrian, Michigan.
On Friday evening,

9 f he was ordained a Deacon in
the United Methodist Church by Bishop Edsel A. Ammons, Resident
Bishop of The Michigan Area of The United Methodist Church.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Dinner of Detroit, Michigan,
the Rev. Dinner was graduated from Cass Technical High School
in Detroit in 1967.
He received a B.S.B.A. degree from Lawrence Institute
of Technology in Southfield in 1976, and is presently enrolled
as a student at Methodist Theological School in Delaware, Ohio.
Mrs. Dinner is the former Miss Constance Schuman, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Schuman
of Livonia.
Rev. Dinner is currently serving as ' student associate
at Stratford-st. Paul's United Methodist Church, Delaware, Ohio.

Methodist Theologic al School for the coming year, as he follows

RELEASE, PLEASE:
The Reverend Jeffry W. Dinner was elected to Elder's
Orders, and received as a Full Member of the Detroit Annual
Conference of the United Methodist Church, on Tuesday evening,
June 2nd, as the 140th consecutive annual session of the
Conference began in Dawson Auditorium on the campus of
Adrian College, Adrian, Michigan.
On Friday evening, June 5th, he

ordained an Elder in
the United Methodist Church by Bishop Edsel A. Ammons,
Resident Bishop of the Michigan Area of the United Methodist
Church.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Dinner of
D~troit,
Michigan , the Reverend Dinner was graduated from . Cass
Technical High School in Detroit, received a B.S ., B.A. in
Southfield, Michigan, and a Master of Divinity degree from
Methodist Theological School in Delaware, Ohio, in 1979.
Elder 's Orders and Reception into Full Membership in
an Annual Conference are the final steps into the Ministry of
the Untted Methodist Church.
Mrs. Dinner, is the former Miss Constance Schuman,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin M. Schuman, Waterford,
Michigan.
Reverend and Mrs. Dinner are the parents of one child:
Martin, 2 years.
