REV. RALPH H. DODSON, professOi·
of geology at Owoss o College and a
member of the Detroit Confer ence, ha s
been asked by the Gene r al Boa rd of Missions of the Pilgrim Church to go as a
missionary to the Philippine I sla nds. He
will conduct an evang elis tic crusade in
the cities as well a s the rural ar eas
where he worked ,,·hen he was there
nine years ag o. He pla nned to leave May
29 and stay about three months , with
the last two weeks spent on the campus es
of two Pilgrim Bible Colleges there.

member of the Detroit Conference, who
ha s been teaching geology in the Science
Depa rtment at Owosso College, Owosso,
for the last eight years, has resigned his
pos ition effective June 1, a nd will go to
the Philippines for a year of evangelism.
Mr. D odson was in the Philippines last
summer under the auspices of the Board
of W orld Missions of the Pilgrim Church
and worked for four months with diff erent missionary groups. In January of
this year he was asked by Dr. Camilo
Toledo, superintendent of the Central
Mindao District in the Mindao Conference of Philippine Methodism, to return
and lead their conference in a program
of evangelism. Mr. Dodson has accepted
the invitation and will be accompanied
by Mrs. Dodson and Charles Lyons who
will be his secretary and also conduct
the music for the crusades. They pla n
to leave Owosso about June 15.

B1rd1e louise Crawford w ere married june
24 , 1923, at De xter, M isso ur i . They have
spent 50 ye.ars i n th e ministry, se rving in 20
states and f1ve foreign countries. The couple
has three ch ild ren , Gwen Edwin of Phoenix
A rizona , Edmond of Farmington and Esthe;
Janes of Owosso ; and eight grandchildren.
They also have a foster son o f Dallas Texas
w ho ha~ a c hild . The Go lden W~dding
Celebration wa_s sponsored by their ch il dren ,
who were ass1sted by mem be r s of Trin ity
Church. Mr. Dodson is a reti red member of
the Detroit Conference.

Arizona 85222. Mr. Dodson, a r etired member of the Detroit Conference, and Mrs.

Prairie, Mo., where he served a s pastor
for two years and was principal of the
elementary school. Rev. a nd Mrs. D odson r ecently gave an organ bo Cent ral
Methodi st Church in Davao City, Philippin es, where Mr: Dodson served as copastor in 1966-67. Through g if ts f rom
fri ends in America the Dodsons secured
Methodist Hymnals for this churC'h a nd
