The Reverend William R. Donahue was elected to Deacon

Orders,
and received as a Probationary Member of the Detroit Annual Conference
of the United Methodist Church on Wednesday afternoon, June 8th as the
l36th consecutive annual session began in Dawson Auditorium on the
campus of Adrian College, Adrian, Michigan .
On Friday evening June lOth he was ordained a Deacon in the
United Methodist Church by Bishop Edsel A. Ammons, Resident Bishop
of the Michigan Area of the United Methodist Church.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. William Donahue of Livonia, the Reverend
Donahue was graduated from Franklin High School in Livonia in 1969.
He received a B.A. degree in speech from Wayne State University in
Detroit, Michigan in 1975; and is presently enrolled as a student
at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
Recommended for a License to Preach by the Charge Conference of
Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Redford, Michigan in 1976, the
Reverend Donahue is pursuing the course of study required for full
membership in the Detroit Annual Conference .

Mrs. Donahue, is the former Miss Nancy Tucci daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Tucci of Detroit, Michigan.
The Reverend Donahue is serving as Associate Minister of Memorial
United Methodist Church in Dayton, Ohio .
The Reverend Donahue has been appointed to continue his seminary
training by Bishop Ammons for the coming year .
Reverend Donahue enjoys composing music and says; he has done
music therapy for Montgomery County Schools in Dayton, working with
retarded children.

Elder's Orders, and received as a Full Member of the Detroit
Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, on Tuesday
evening, June 2, as the 140th consecutive annual sess ion of
the Conference began in Dawson Auditorium on the campus of
Adrian College, Adrian, Michigan.
On Friday evening, June 5, he was ordained an Elder in
the United Methodist Church by Bishop Edsel A. Ammons,
Resident Bishop of the Michigan Area of the United Methodist
Church.
Son of Mr . and Mrs. William Donahue of Livonia, Michigan ,
the Reverend Donahue was graduated from Franklin High Schoo l

Detroit, and a Master of Divinity and M.A. in Christian Edu cation from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio , in 1979 .
