Rev. Paul G. Donelson., student at We sley Seminary
in Washington, D.
c.,
was elected t.o Deacon's Orders and
received as a Probationary member of the Detroit Annual
Conference of the United Methodist Churc? on Wednesday
afternoon, June 6th, as the l32nd consecutive annual
session began in Dawson Auditorium on the campus of
Adrian College , Adrian,
I~chigan.
On Wednesday evening, he was ordained a Deacon
in the United Methodist Church by Bishop Dwight E. Loder,
Resident Bishop of the Michigan Ar ea of the United
Methodi st Church.
Son of Mr . and Mrs. Arthur W. Donelson of Flint,
Mi chigan , Rev. Donelson was graduated from Flint Central
High School in Flint,
~uc higan.
He received a B. A. degree from Eastern Michigan
University in Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1972; and is presently
enrolled as a student at Wesl ey Theological Seminary in
~~ shington,
D.

Rev. Paul G. Donelson
Rev. Donelson is pursuing the course of study required
for full membership in the Detroit Annual Confe rence.
Before appointment to his present positi on, Rev.
Donelson served as an intern at Union United Methodist
Church of Washington, D. C.
Rev. Donelson will be ordained as a Deacon in the
Iowa Conference on the 9th of June, and he will then
return to school for further studies.
