AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH ON PAUL C. FREDERICK
Rev. Paul C. Frederick is the pastor of the Wesley United
Methodist Church in Ishpeming.
He was married to Dona Jean Stiner
on June 6, 1959 while both vrere students at Adrian College.
They
are the parents of four children: Shannon Lee, age 16; Russell
Allen, age 15; Robin Lynn, age 13; and Timothy Paul, age 9.
Paul has served on a number of Conference Boards including the
Board of Evangelism, the STanding Rules Committee, and the Nommnation
Committee.
He is a member of the General Board of Evangelism's
Nevr World Missioner cadre, and has preached for the B!Dard in Wisconsin,
and
W. Virginia, Pennsylvania,/Tennessee;and was chosen by h e Board as
one of forty missioners to go to the continent of Australia in July,
1975.
Paul has served the Rice It!emorial Church , Detroit, and the
Grayling Church, Grayling , before his present appointment. He has had
two previous articles published in

Me th odist Chur ch, in Detroit was elected to Full Membership in
the Detroit Annual Conference of the Methodist Church at its
126tb Session meeting at Adrian College this week.
Reverend
Frederick was ordained Elder by Bishop Dwight E. Loder at the
conference session.
Son of Mr. Edward John Frederick of Chicago, Mr. Frederick
attended Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Michigan,
grauduating in 1954.
He attended Dartmouth College for one year
before transferring to Adrian College, Adrian, Michigan, where
he rece ived the A. B. Degree in 1960.
He will receive the Bachelor
of Divinity Degree from Oberlin Graduate School of Theology
later this month .
He bas also done post-graduate work at the
Univers ity of Michigan. Mr. Frederick has served as pastor of Mount Hope Methodist
Church, Detroit, the Tipton Community Church, north of Adrian,
and The Dundee Congregational Church in Dundee.
He also served
as Educational Assistant at East Shore Methodist Church in Euclid,

Ohio, and as pastor in Berl in Heights, Ohio, before coming to
Rioe Memorial here.
He is married to the former Dona J ean Stiner of Detroit.
The Frederick's have three ohildren:
