June 11, 1983
The Rev . Earlene Alexander was elected to Deacon's Orders ,and
received as a Probationary member of the Detroit Annual Conference of
the United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 7, as the 142nd consecutive
annual session began in Dawson Auditorium on the campus of Adrian College,
Adrian, Michiagn.
On Saturday, June 11, she was ordained a Deacon in the United
Methodist Church by Bishop Edsel A. Ammons, Resident Bishop of The
Michigan Area of The United Methodist Church.
Daughter of Earl and Irene Alexander of Alpena, the Rev. Alexander
was graduated from Alpena High School in 1965.
She received an Associate Arts degree from Alpena Community College
and B.S.W. from Central Michigan University; and is enrolled at Methodist
Theological School, Delaware, Ohio.
Rev. Alexander is serving as Youth Minister at Sunbury Methodist
Church, Sunbury, Ohio .
