T ta n Methodist Church, Detroit, recently memorialized the late Mrs. C. B.
Allen, wife of Dr. C. B. Allen, associate
pastor of the church for many years.
The resolution in memory of her sig nificant service to the Society follows:
Whereas, God has deemed it wise to
t ake unto Himself ,Adelaide Allen whom
we have, for many years, known and
loved,
Whereas, she, as wife of our beloved
pastor, Charles Bronson Allen, and as a
member of long standing of our Woman's Society and its Board of Directors,
gave leadership and inspira tion to our
women,
Whereas, this faithful Christian,
though deprived of active parti<iipation
in recent years because ·of ill heaTth still
continued her interest in the women's
work ef the church and exerted a fine
spiritual influence, and,

an assocJ.ate of Dr. Merton S. Rice on the
