THEIR LIVES AND EVENTS 7

-¥/~/tT-Y

BEULAH WOODCOCK EVA died Mar.
8, at the age of 88. She was born Feb. 5,
1900, in Mohawk, NY, to Lowell and
Susan Woodcock. After training for church
work and working in New York State, she
came to Detroit as parish visitor and youth
director at Boulevard Temple Methodist
Church. In 1944 she married Rev. Dr.
Sidney D. Eva, who was then Detroit
District superintendent. After the death of
Dr. Eva, Beulah went to Adrian College as
director of dormitories. In 1962 she returned to Detroit to the Methodist Church in
Farmington until retiring in 1968. Beulah
was always cheerful and quick with a
humorous response . She was loved and
enjoyed by family and friends alike. A
memorial service was held at Boulevard
Temple Retirement Home on Mar. 13, with
Dr. Benjamin Holme saying a few words.
She spent the last two years here. Any
memorial contributions should be sent to
Boulevard Temple Home in her name.
