Dr. David Evans, pastor at Hillsdale, is
shown with hls son, David Evans Ill, who
is the new consultant for the Michigan
United Methodisit Housing Corporation
with headquarters in Detroit. Both were
in attendance at Albion.

... was elected to the General Board of
Church and Society in 1972 after
serving from 1966 to 1971 as the West
Michigan Conference Program Director
in charge of Christian Social Concerns.
Prior to that time Dave was the
associate pastor at Jackson First
Church, pastor at Okemos Community
Church from 1950 to 1959, and senior
pastor at Battle Creek First Church until
joining the Conference staff. He pres·
ently is the pastor at Hillsdale, an
appointment given in 1971. He had
been an officer of the Conference
Board of Christian Social Concerns be·
fore becoming its executive. He contin·
ues to serve on that board by virtue of
his national board membership. Dave is
a graduate from the Boston University
School of Theology; he also has
completed a doctorate degree from
