He married Mis s Rosa Mae Harter, a native of
Pennsylvania, August 14, 1888, after which t h ey served
pastorates in the Fre e

He served th e Evangelical
Church in Byron, Eureka, where he was ordained Elder
in 1898, Ludington in the Riverton c harge, and in
South Rockwood.
Later he was a Con gre gationa l pas-
tor at Bostwick lake and Bedford.
His last three
pastorates were in Berlin Center, Morley and Trowbrid ge, where he served as a devo t ed pastor in the
Jichigan Annual Conference of the
Church.

He retired from the ministry and moved to
Allegan in 1914 .

Feather entere d politics in 1923 and was
elected alderman and served 1923 and 1924.
In 1931
he was elected city treasurer and served in that
