Mrs. Brumm was a very a rdent support er of her husband in all h is minist erial
work. She suff ered the hardships of pioneer life in the absence of her husband
on his long preaching journeys.
She u as expert in making ends mee t during the days of meager support and whru
n er frug a l itY is due the possibi lity of the liberal education which th~y gave
their seven children. She was instrumental in founding the church at Nashville
of which they we.r·e ardent members after their retirement. She l ived to the
ripe old age of ~ 5 years, ret a ining her keen mentality until the end. SE9had
gone on a visi c ~oher son at Nashville where she contracted pneumonia and died
in fuur days. She had just enjoyed vi siting with her old friends and passed on
in her old home as she often expre::>sed t he wish to do. She is buried in
Nashv J.lle, Michigan.
