I'm not sure what the criteria are for being recognized as among the Lay Members to Annual
• Conference within the memorial service. My father, Joseph Bohnsack, was lay member frorr
; Oregon Church on the Flint District for many years and died November 22, 2002. Here is the
,; statement I would make.about him ...
}~
.~
"
·'; Joe Bohnsack spent most of his life in the Oregon Church on the Flint District. His Grandfath<;;.ft ~A
among its founders and he was their treasurer for 35 years. He mentored their pastors and hos.i?.P
'--'-"'~=....=.:=.:.-== Christmas eve services in his barn. Beyond the local church he was Treasurer of the Town ai'IJ
_r_
Country Fellowship, a member of the Flint District Board of Missions, and was often a Lay Me~b2.t ()'i'
Annual Conference, sharing a room with his son, Ben, pastor at Nardin Park. He died unexpec.t..,bly
during a short illness and his wife, Alice, continues to live in Pennsylvania, near their two dau,h~l.s ,
I hope you will receive this. Thanks.
