The Reverand Doctor Bradly Rau Dewey, Assistant Professor of He-

ligion, Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, Pennsylvania was
elected to full membership in the Detroit Annual Conference of the
Methodist Church this week at the Conference's 125th session held in
Adrian, Michigan on the Adrian College Campus.

He was ordained an

Elder of the Methodist Church by Bishop Dwight E. Loder at the final
session of this year's conference on Saturdau afernoon.
Dr. Dewey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard S. Dewey of Grand Rapids,
Michigan was graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids
in 1952, received his B.S. degree in 1957 from University of Michigan in
Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the Bachelor of Divinity Degree from Yale
Divinity School, New Haven, Connecticut in 1960, where he was awarded
a Yale University Scholarship.

He received the M.A. degree from Yale

University Graduate School in 1961 and the Ph.D. in 1964.

He was re-

cipient of a Rockefeller Brothers Fellowship in 196)-64 and studied
under a Fulbright Scholarship in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1962-6).

He

was awarded the Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award at Franklin and

Marshall College this year.
He is married to the former Marcia N. Althaus, Daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Fredrick E. Atthaus of Lowell , Michigan.
