FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
The Reverend Robert D. Dobson, Campus Minister and Director
of Wesley
Fou~dation
at Michigan Technological University, Houghton,
was elected to Full Membership in the Detroit Annual Conference of
the Methodist Church at its 126th Session meeting at Adrian College,
Adrian, Michigan, this week.
He was also ordained elder at the
conference by Dishop Dwight E. Loder, resident Bishop.
Son of Mr. and Mrs . Thomas H. Dobson of Ishpeming, Mr. Dobson
attended Ishpeming High School, graduating in 195tl.
He received
a B.A. Degree from Nortl1ern Micl1igan University in 1962 with a
major in sociology .
In 1966 he was graduated a Bachelor or Divin-
ity Degree from the Methodist Theological School in Ol1io, Delaware,
Ol1io.
He did post-graduate work at Garrett Theological
~eminary
last summer.
Mr. Dobson is married to the t'ormer Ethel Jean
