Harvey A. Frye wa s born November 16, 1882 to the family of Rev.
Noah Frye.
His mother was Eliza Hayes Frye.
Both father and mother of
Harvey Frye have preceded him in death, his mother receiving her reward
on October 23, 1887, and his father following on July 31, 1939.
On September 24 , 1902, Harvey was married to Edith Sayles, to which
was added to this happy union a son, Irvin Earl of Cleveland, Ohio, and
a daughter, Dorothy Marguarette who has remained at home with her parents.
In 1905, at the age of 23, Harvey accepted thP- call from his Lord
to preach the unsearchable riches of Christ to a lost world.
Answering
this call, Harvey served as pastor for 38 years on the follo wing pastorates:
Carlton , Whittaker, Fowlerville , wauseon, Ohio, Buchanan,
Blissfield , Portage Prairie, Hersey , Pontiac, Brown City ,
Snover , New Haven and Scottvi lle.
For a period of eleven years during his total 49 years of ministry,
Harvey was releaRed from the Michigan Conference of the Evangelical
.
Un i ted Brethern Church to serve as an evangelist at large.
During five
of the elven years as evangelist, be was associated with the Dr. E. W.
Petticord Evangelistic Party.
Harvey was an untiring servant of the Lord, never failing when
possible to lead one more soul to the Lord.
During his ministry thou-
sands of souls that were brought to the Lord will join him some day at
the feet of Jesu s.
As a hu sband and fath er, h e was revered, respected and loved as a
son of God giving his life and his best for his f amily.
