Nicholas Castle
4 October 1837 - 18 April 1922
Entered the ministry of the United Brethren church at the age of nineteen and served pastorates in southern Michigan and Indiana
In 1877, he was elected Bishop and assigned to the Pacific coast, then a pioneer missionary district.

- 1877: elected to the Episcopacy (assigned to the Pacific coast, then a pioneer missionary district)
