Rev. D.N. Earl, 98, died in Bay City, after an illness of four weeks. Born in Canada, July 14, 1855, Mr. Earl came to Michigan in 1889 and settled in Saginaw. He held pastorates in Gagetown, Caro, Kinde, Frederic, Richfield Center, Wahjamega, Mayville, Wellsville, Goodells and on the Prairie Circuit. Surviving are two sons, Marshall of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Clarence of Tawas City; four daughters, Mrs. Estella Mohan of Flint, Mrs. B.A. Hartz and Mrs. Whitfield of Bay City, and Mrs. William Struthers of Tawas City; 19 granchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. His wife, the former Alice Casselman, died many years ago.

Services were held in the Wisner Methodist Church, with Dr. Alfred P. Landon, superintendent of the Saginaw Bay District, and Rev. Harold Dakin of Unionville, officiating. Burial was in Mayville.

Mr. Earl was the oldest minister in the Detroit Conference and held the Conference Can for the last two years. [1]
